There are several PM systems available, with all claiming their virtues. Some claim to be effective tools for the management to gage the level and potential of their employees to plan their development activities. Others claim it to be a planning tool. Some systems are very successful in one organization and have negative results in another. Some are effective for a couple of years and then become irrelevant.
For MFH any system that promotes communication will sustain and will give good to great results. On the contrary, if a system or its implementation hinders or reduces communication it is going to backfire. It is more about promoting communication. Communication is the only tool available for any management.
Measuring the effectiveness and quality of communication is the purpose of the PM system and it should be able to assess the extent of communication within the organization. The result of all trainings, tools, systems and management in general has to be improved communication and PM system should focus only on gaging this.If the PM system can reveal poor,neutral,good,great andexceptional communication centers and team members,if it can bring outnegative,neutral andpositive communication hubs, then only the system is useful.The success and failure of any organization solely depends on the level of communication in the organization. The PM system adopted should check and reveal this.
